Following a successful first wave, the second wave of Eurovision 2025 tickets have sold out after fans were able to get their hands on the last remaining tickets for the shows.
Eurovision 2025 tickets sold out in minutes
Fans who had pre-registered for tickets back in January were allowed to try for tickets for the second wave on March 27th. Only those who had pre-registered, but had failed to get tickets in the first wave were allowed to try again using their unique code.
According to Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR, all remaining tickets for the nine shows over the week sold out in the space of just 22 minutes. The broadcaster confirmed, however, that the sale went “smoothly”.
Speaking on the results of the second wave, Executive Producers for Eurovision 2025 – Reto Pertiz and Moritz Stadler – said fans could soon get their hands on official resale tickets. The pair said:
Tickets for most shows will be listed for sale on the Ticketcorner platform fanSALE.ch if holders are unable to make it to the event. Ticketcorner’s official resale platform offers fans the chance to purchase tickets securely and at the original prices.
The story of Eurovision 2025 so far
Switzerland will be hosting the 69th edition of the competition following Nemo’s historic win at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö. A few weeks after their win, Reto Peritz, and Moritz Stadler, was announced as the Executive Producers, with the other roles revealed in July 2024.
Basel, Bern & Biel/Bienne, Geneva, and Zurich submitted bids to host next year’s competition, with Basel and Geneva being shortlisted as the final two cities. After the shortlist, it was revealed that Basel will host Eurovision 2025, at St. Jakobshalle with the shows taking place on May 13, 15 and 17.
