Following on from their Eurovision participation, Portuguese band NAPA have collaborated with fellow Madeiran Van Zee on the song “Infinito”.
About “Infinito”
“Infinito” was written as a collaborative effort by NAPA’s lead vocalist Guilherme, and his Madeiran compatriot rapper Van Zee.
The pair first met nine years ago at the birthday party of Guilherme’s late cousin, with whom Van Zee was good friends. The song is a tribute to Guilherme’s cousin, with him saying on the band’s Instagram page:
I met Sebastião playing ball at my cousins birthday party. I was the oldest cousin and he was the best friend. Unbeknownst to us, cake slices, orange bongos, and improvised beacons set off in the path of this song.
Years later, the unconceivable news came. My cousin’s pure and contagious joy has led to despair and confusion. The light that illuminated our days was extinguishing, until it was extinguished.
9 years later, music has joined my path with Sebastião again to honour his memory.
The song was produced by GOIAS, a production duo made up of António Vital Carvalhal and Henrique Carvalhal, who are best known for their work with Portuguese rapper Slow J.

NAPA’s Eurovision Journey
Madeiran band NAPA were invited to by RTP to compose a song for Festival Da Canção 2025 – entering with the song “Deslocado” they won the competition with 17 points, and would go on to represent Portugal at Eurovision 2025.
They managed to qualify for the Grand Final from the first sem-final and once there, they finished in 21st place. They received a total of 50 points, of which 37 points came from the jury and 13 points came the televote.
