Damiano David, frontman of Måneskin and winner of Eurovision 2021 for Italy, has been nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards 2025.
Two nominations at the 2025 VMAs
According to MTV, Damiano is nominated for:
- Push Performance of the Year for his live performance of Next Summer in May 2025.
- Best Long Form Video for his visual project FUNNY little STORIES.
These nominations mark another milestone in Damiano’s solo career, which began in 2024 after years of international success with Måneskin.

The 2025 MTV Music Awards will be held on 7 September at the UBS Arena in New York, United States, and you can vote for your favourite artists or songs here.
Måneskin’s Eurovision journey
Before becoming global stars, Måneskin’s breakthrough came in Italy, where they won Sanremo 2021 with Zitti e buoni. That victory earned them the right to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, where they won the contest with 524 points. It was Italy’s third Eurovision win, and the country’s first victory in 31 years.
