With a new Eurovision just days away, more information on the EBU’s plans for the 2026 Contest are being revealed. Now, it is being hinted that the top 10 finalists of the Contest will embark on a stadium tour across Europe.
Stadium tour to hit ten European capitals
Speaking on morning chat show Labas rytas, Lietuva – Lithuanian Head of Delegation Audrius Giržadas confirmed that plans for a tour were in the works. He explained on Monday (August 18th):
What is probably relevant to participants is that after the big Eurovision show, there will be a Eurovision tour to which ten participants from the finalists will be invited. So, if the Lithuanian representative makes it to the final, they will also have a chance to participate in this tour.
It will travel through 10 European capitals, through major arenas and the performers will receive money for this. It won’t just be some voluntary gig, it will be a truly large-scale professional international Eurovision tour across Europe.
Previous attempts
The EBU has not officially confirmed the tour’s existence so far. However, previous attempts at a Eurovision tour have been done. In 2024, a number of well-known Eurovision acts embarked on a worldwide set of dates. Titled “Eurovision on Tour”, the show featured acts including Dami Im, Linda Martin, Senhit, Efendi, The Roop and others.
The news came as Lithuania’s broadcaster LRT opened the submissions window for its national selection Eurovizija.LT. Audrius also went on to tease a potential new logo for Eurovision 2026 that is set to be released at 13:00 CEST.
