🇪🇸 Spain to release Junior Eurovision entry on October 6th

After being announced as Spain’s representative in July, Gonzalo Pinillos’ entry will be unveiled on the sixth of October.

The date was suggested during a press conference regarding Benidorm Fest. A day later it was confirmed on RTVE’s social media. Whilst the release date for Spain’s entry was confirmed, no other details regarding the way in which it will be released have been revealed.

In previous years, a press conference has been held with the Spanish delegation and the representative. At this press conference, the song as well as the music video is released. The latter is then broadcast on RTVE’s various channels during prime time.

Spain’s Junior Eurovision journey

Spain has taken part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest a total of 9 times. Their first participation came in the first edition of the Contest in 2003. In the initial Contest, Spain was represented by Sergio singing “Desde el cielo”. At the close of voting Spain finished in second place, earning 125 points. Spain would go on to win the next edition of the show with María Isabel’s “Antes Muerte Que Sencilla”, with 171 points.

Spain hosted the 2024 contest after 2023 winner France turned down hosting rights. Their hometown girl was Chloe DelaRosa, who sang “Como La Lola”. She received 80 points from the jury and 64 from the online vote, combining for a total score of 144 points and sixth place.
