While Swedish broadcaster SVT finalizes the list of artists participating in their Eurovision 2026 selection, Melodifestivalen, rumors regarding who will be participating in the 66th edition of the competition continue to be reported. This time, Korslagda and Indra Elg are rumoured to participate in next year’ competition, as reported by Aftonbladet.
Are they In or Out? – It seems they are In
We previously reported that Korslagda is set to participate in next year’s competition. Following that, it was reported that they just submitted an entry. Now, Aftonbladet reports that they have now been given the go-signal to participate, with the outlet reporting that Kristofer Strandberg (who co-wrote KAJ’s “Bara Bada Bastu”) as the co-writer for their entry.
Another former Idol alum in the mix
The former Idol alums continue to be reported for Mello 2026, with Idol 2020 participant Indra Elg as the latest alumni from the competition to be announced. Over the summer, Indra was signed to Emperial, who is home to Mello alums Meira Omar and Liamoo.

Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song โLilla stjรคrnaโ which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).
In 2025, Sweden were represented by Finnish group KAJ, singing “Bara bada bastu”. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 321 points, finishing in 4th place. 126 points were received by the juries, while the trio received 195 points by televoters.
