🇸🇪 Klara Almström: “I want to enjoy it, and I want it to look as if I’m enjoying it”

Ahead of her participation in Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Tim had the opportunity to speak with Klara Almström, who is making her debut in this year’s competition with her entry “Där hela världen väntar”

During their interview, Tim and Klara talked about the emotional message behind her song, her previous experience on Swedish Idol, her favorite Eurovision entries and her goals for performing on the big stage at Scandinavium.

Who is Klara Almström?

Klara Almström is a singer from Stockholm who has been writing and releasing songs since she was very young. Her first single came out when she was only 14 years old, but in 2022 she became a household name when she took part in Swedish Idol in 2022, finishing 3rd. Her biggest hit so far came in 2020 with the song “Find your way home”, a song that currently has over 6 million steams on Spotify. “Där hela världen väntar” is written by Klara together with Jimmy Jansson & Fredrik Sonefors, and this is her first time participating in Melodifestivalen.

Sweden’s Eurovision journey

In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win seven times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, 2015 and 2023).

In 2025, Sweden were represented by Finnish group KAJ, singing “Bara bada bastu”. At the close of voting in the grand final, they had received 321 points, finishing in 4th place. 126 points were received by the juries, while the trio received 195 points by televoters.
