As the inaugural edition of Eurovision Asia begins to get closer, another national final has been announced. Vietnamese broadcaster VTV has announced they will use The Sound of Vietnam to select their entrant for the Contest in Bangkok.
The Sound of Vietnam
Broadcaster VTV has revealed thatΒ The Sound of VietnamΒ will select the country entry for the inaugural Eurovision Asia event, due to be held in Bangkok. The show will begin at 16:30 CEST / 21:30 ICT on Saturday October 3rd. The national final will be broadcast on the official Eurovision YouTube so international viewers to watch around the globe.
Participants of the selection and further details about the show will be announced at a later date. More information can be found on the Eurovision Asia website.
Eurovision Asia National Selections so far
The nation of Bhutan was the first to select its representative for the Contest, with Nyendra winning the country’s national final earlier this month. Malaysia have also selected their entrant, choosing to internally select artist Aina Abdul. The other national selections that are currently known are as follows:

What we know about Eurovision Asia 2026
Early this year, EBU and Voxovation have confirmed the launch of Eurovision Asia, following its initial attempt to launch the format in 2017. The inaugual edition of the competition is set to take place on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand.
