2026 national final artists
🇪🇪 NOËP – “We Get Lost”
Estonia’s Andres Köpper, known as NOËP, isn’t just satisfied with coming 2nd in the 2026 edition of Eesti Laul. The singer and producer has already collaborated with Latvia’s Eurovision 2023 fan-favourites Sudden Lights earlier this year. Together, the band and NOËP released “it drives me (out of my mind)” which has already amassed hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify. Earlier in the year, NOËP released “Full Send” as the official Estonian WRC Rally anthem, and this week is back as a featured artist on Raul Ojamaa’s “We Get Lost”. The track is an interesting mix of indie-electronica, atmospheric DnB and ambient, future garage, creating an overall exciting and fresh sound. Just like previous new releases from the musician, this shows how much NOËP needs to come back and compete in Eesti Laul again. “Days Like This” truly deserves a redemption entry.
🇩🇪 wavvyboi – “some of us aren’t made for heaven”
wavvyboi placed second in Germany’s Das Deutsche Finale in 2026 with his song “black glitter”, narrowly beaten to the win by Sarah Engels. The musician is back with a new track this week, in the form of “some of us aren’t made for heaven”. Speaking about the song, wavvyboi said “i think this might be my favourite wavvyboi song so far it finally feels like i’ve found the words for what this world has always been about. if heaven wasn’t made for us, we’ll build our own”. The track is a great piece of pop-rock and is incredibly catchy and enjoyable as a follow up to “black glitter”.
🇲🇹 Ema – “IMĦABBA”
Ethiopian-Maltese singer Ema took part in this years’s MESC national final with her song “Achikuku (Don’t Think About It”, placing 7th in the final. The latest single from the musician, “IMĦABBA”, is a great piece of choral pop, showing off Emma’s vocal talents whilst also having an exciting and anthemic backing track as the song progresses. It has elements of Disney movie soundtrack to it, in a positive and enjoyable way.
🇳🇴 Leonardo Amor – “2005”
Leonardo Amor placed 5th in Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix earlier in 2026 with his song “Prayer”. The young Filipino-Norwegian singer is back with a follow up to his recent single “18 Years”, in the form of new song “2005”. The track is every bit as emotional as his MGP entry, and follow up single, and shows Leonardo’s talent for storytelling and personal lyricism in his music. This new single is retrospective, emotional indie-pop, with a big beat and anthemic chorus.
🇮🇹 J-AX – “VITA MORTE MIRACOLI”
Italian country rock-musician J-AX took part in this year’s Festival di Sanremo with his social commentary, country-inspired record “ITALIA STARTER PACK”. Although the song didn’t reach the top of the Sanremo rankings, J-AX received widespread fan praise for his entry, and has since amassed millions of followers across Europe. The latest release from the musician comes in the form of new album “VITA MORTE MIRACOLI”. The album features “ITALIA STARTER PACK”, as well as 13 other songs, all of which tell a different story in J-AX’s iconic social commentary country-rock style.
🇸🇲 (&🇪🇪) ELYSA – “KARMA IS A BITCH”
ELYSA is an Estonian musician who has appeared in multiple editions of the Estonian national final for Eurovision, most recently taking part in the 2025 edition of Eesti Laul with the fan favourite song “The Last to Know”. In 2026, however, ELYSA took a different route, entering the San Marino Song Contest national final with her song “The Alchemist (ImPossible)”, which unfortunately did not make it through to the live televised final. Nevertheless, the Estonian singer is a legend in Eurovision circles, and latest single “KARMA IS A BITCH” only furthers that. The track is a big electro-pop number, with a danceable beat and an instantly catchy breakdown.
🇳🇴 Gothminister – “SALSA”
Gothminister has been a gothic metal band in the Norwegian music scene since the 1990s. In 2024, the band competed in the Melodi Grand Prix selection show with the song “We Come Alive”, making it through to the final. They had previously competed in the show in 2013, and once again entered MGP in 2026 with “The Spell”, but failed to make it through the wildcard round to the final. The band’s latest single “SALSA” is a gothic take on a south-american salsa vibe, taking some inspiration from salsa while still delivering prog-rock and metal. The song is both fun, and classically rock-heavy from Gothminister. The latest single from the band comes ahead of their upcoming album, “WE ARE ALL DEMONS”, due in October.

🇱🇻 Markus Riva – “Rudens”
Markus Riva is a name any eurofan who has watched pretty much all of the recent Supernova national finals in Latvia. He has appeared at almost every edition of the national final in the country since his debut in 2014. His best placements in Supernova came in 2015 with the song “Take Me Down” and in 2019 with “You Make Me So Crazy”, which both came 2nd. His most recent performance at the national selection show was in 2025 with “Bigger Than This”, which placed 8th. This week, Markus has released the “Rudens” EP. Four tracks of electronic indie-pop and dance music, all of which are highly enjoyable. My personal favourite of the four is track three, “Tu Zini Mani Labāk”, but all of the tracks are great songs.
🇵🇹 Peculiar – “HINO DO ALGARVE”
Despite only placing 10th in Portugal’s Festival da Canção, Peculiar’s “Adamastor” became a standout hit of the 2025 national final season for me personally. Blending Portuguese pop and dance with a modern Mediterranean electro-sound, the musician has released a number of singles recently, and most recent of those comes in the form of “HINO DO ALGARVE”. The song is a summer evening, boiled down into a 3 minute pop smash. This is fun, lighthearted, and incredibly enjoyable.
🇩🇪 Cloudy June – “w4sted love”
Cloudy June competed in the Chefsache ESC German national final in 2025, with the song “If Jesus Saw What We Did Last Night”, unfortunately not making the final. The singer is back with another big electro-pop / hyperpop anthem in the form of “w4sted love, a follow up to “jAGUAR” released earlier in the year. If you like this kind of dark, electro-pop sound, this is for you. It’s fun, high energy, dramatic and dark in message.
🇪🇪 gem98 – “On meie kool hoos”
Eesti Laul 2025 saw gem98 compete with his song “PSYCHO”, reaching the final but failing to make the superfinal round. The musician has, until now, not released a follow up under the gem98 project. But this week, “On meie kool hoos” changes that! It’s a post-punk, Estonian language, track coming in at just under 90 seconds in length. But it’s fun, and it’s the first release from gem98 since “PSYCHO”.
🇸🇪 Nomi – “Himlen hos dig”
Competing in Melodifestivalen 2025 as Nomi Tales, Nomi has rebranded since her performance of “Funniest Thing”, adopting the one-word moniker “Nomi”. The latest release from the young singer comes in the form of an appearance on Wester & Wahlsteen’s latest country/folk song “Himlen hos dig”. It’s a stripped back, acoustic country-folk-pop track, really showing Nomi’s vocal range.
🇱🇹 GØYA – “Hope”
Lithuanian musician GØYA made the final of the Eurovizija.LT national selection in Lithuania back in 2025, with the liquid electro-pop track “After Storm”. Latest single from the singer, “Hope”, is a jazz-infused, house / dance track with ethereal vocals and a great beat. The song begins with GØYA’s vocal shining, before layering chill house and liquid beats underneath. This is impressive from the Lithuanian musician.
