Mae Muller, the UK’s 2023 Eurovision participant, has released a new single. “Hallucination” follows the release of “Wheels Come Off” earlier in the year. The record was made with UK DJ, producer and drag performer Jodie Harsh.
About “Hallucination”
The last artist to receive public televote points for the UK at Eurovision, Mae Muller, is back with a new single. This week, Mae has teamed up with British drag performer, DJ and producer Jodie Harsh on new record “Hallucination”. Writing about the process of creating the song, Mae said:
making this song with jodie harsh and some of my best friends in the world has been one of my greatest pleasures. there’s been many times in my life where i’ve put people on pedestals and thought that they were the best thing on earth when really it was probably just me making them that way. my favourite song to dance to and i can’t wait for it to be yours
The track is a big dance-pop record, with a catchy chorus and liquid, synth beats. Mae delivers a captivating vocal performance on the single, with an infectious backing track made for clubbing. The collaboration between Mae and Jodie Harsh blends Mae’s talent for personal and raw songwriting, with Jodie’s prowess in creating infectious dance music. As a joint project, “Hallucination” is energetic, pop-dance perfection.
The track was written by Mae herself, alongside frequent collaborator Wolf Cutt, Camilla Dunhill and DJ and producer Jodie Harsh. The single is released on the Tenance Records label.

Who is Mae Muller?
Mae Muller was born Holly Mae Muller in Kent, England, in 1997. She first began writing her own music at the age of eight, and attended Fine Arts College in Belsize Park, North London in her youth. In 2007, Mae appeared in the music video for “Grace Kelly” by Mika, which was directed by her aunt, Sophie Muller. Mae began recording and releasing her own music on Soundcloud in the late 2010s, before signing with her manager. In 2019, Mae supported British girl-band Little Mix on their UK arena tour. In 2021, Mae achieved her first chart hit in both the UK and America, with the single “Better Days”. The track was a collaboration between herself, Swedish music collective Neiked, and American rapper Polo G. She released her debut studio album Sorry I’m Late in 2023.
Mae Muller’s Eurovision history
Mae Muller’s Eurovision journey was one marked by high expectations and valuable lessons. Representing the United Kingdom on home soil in 2023 with her infectious pop track “I Wrote a Song”, Mae followed in the footsteps of Sam Ryder’s second-place triumph, entering the contest with considerable buzz and national hope. Her performance combined a strong visual identity with catchy lyrics centred on self-empowerment and emotional recovery after heartbreak.
Despite finishing 25th in the Grand Final in Liverpool, Mae handled the result with grace and resilience, using the experience as both a personal and professional turning point. Rather than letting the outcome define her, she embraced it as part of her artistic evolution, a stepping stone toward a more authentic, independent sound. Mae has since released a debut album, “Sorry I’m Late” and last year released a new EP, “My Island“. She has made regular appearances at many festivals and gigs across the UK since her 2023 Eurovision performance, and continues to have a large following on social media. In recent months, as well as releasing her own music such as July’s “Wheels Come Off“, Mae has been active as a songwriter for a number of musicians around the world.
