Armenian world music duo Ladaniva are back with another single. The Eurovision 2024 representatives have this week released new song “Le Temps” ahead of their upcoming album “Yasaman”, due next week.
About “Le Temps”
World music duo Ladaniva, who represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, in 2024, have release their latest single. Ahead of their upcoming album “Yasaman”, the duo have this week released new track “Le Temps”.
The new song is an emotional, sweet and retrospective track about family, friends, and the passing of time. The lyrics of the song detail the betrayal of time itself on the human condition. “The song”Le Temps” is more of a pared back, lower tempo track than previously released singles “Yasaman” and “Margarita“, and will feature alongside these singles on the new album.
Included in the new single are the lyrics:
Il prend tout pour lui, le temps. Efface tous nos souvenirs d’enfance, tout s’efface. Passe le temps passe, nos chagrins nos soucis, il les amène avec lui. Il nous soulage il nous guérit. Alors on pense qu’il est notre ami. Mais comme un ami qui trahit, un jour il nous prendra aussi.
When translated into the English language, the lyrics read:
Time takes everything for itself. It erases all our childhood memories, everything fades away. Time passes, time goes by, our sorrows, our worries, it carries them away. It brings us relief, it heals us. So we think that it is our friend. But like a friend who betrays, one day, it will take us, too.
The new single was written by Jaklin and Louis of the duo themselves. Ladaniva are due to be playing a string of shows in their home of France throughout the rest of 2026. The band have also announced a large show at the famous “La Cigale” music venue in Paris, in December. More information about the upcoming shows can be found on the duo’s website and social media accounts.
