Irish Eurovision 2019 representative Sarah McTernan has released her latest single ‘Heavy On My Heart’ the song is described by ‘I Love Limerick’ as the ‘Pop anthem of the year‘. Sarah has already had success this year, going to number one on iTunes with her previous single ‘Close My Eyes‘. Sarah has released the music video for the song, which you are able to watch here:

‘Heavy On My heart’ has been described as being influenced by Becky Hill and P!nk. Sarah describes the track itself as ‘when you overcome a negative situation or relationship and find your worth’.

Sarah’s career took off when she took part in The Voice Ireland back in 2015 she placed 3rd in that competition, in 2018 before competing for Ireland she tried to represent San Marino with the song ‘Eye Of The Storm’. In 2019 Sarah represented Ireland in Tel Aviv Israel with her quirky pop tune ’22’. Sarah, unfortunately, place last in the second semi-final of that year’s competition. Sarah has already had quite a lot of success since however with several of her singles placing within the Irish top 5 on Itunes. To watch Sarah’s performance from Tel Aviv below:
