Following on from the semi finals, 20 songs have been cut down to 10 for the Festival da Canção 2022 final. Portuguese Broadcaster RTP have now revealed the running order for Festival da Canção 2022. The Portuguese national final will take place tomorrow night March 12th at 22:00 CET.

Festival da Canção 2022 details
The winner of Festival da Canção will be crowned tomorrow, March 12th. The show will start at 22:00 CET. This year’s final will be hosted by Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim. The results of Festival da Canção will be decided by a combination of regional juries and tele-voting. Inês Lopes Gonçalves will also be talking with the acts in the green room throughout the show. Interval acts for the final include:
- Bateu Matou
- Lura, Blaya, and Sara Correia
- B Fachada, Benjamim, Selma Uamusse, and Tiago Bettencourt
Portugal’s Eurovision Journey
In 1964, Portugal made their debut in the competition with António Calvário and the song “Oração”. Since then, they have participated in the competition 52 times, 43 of which were in the Grand Final. They have also won the competition once in 2017 with Salvador Sobral and the song “Amar Pelos Dois”.
Portugal’s recent participation saw them being represented by The Black Mamba with the song “Love Is On My Side”, which is the first song Portugal sent in the English language. Their participation saw them qualify for the Grand Final, where they finished 12th, after receiving 153 points from the Jury and Televoters.
