Today rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 kicked off. Countries rehearsing on Day 1 include Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, and Moldova. Next to rehearse today was Slovenia’s LPS.
LPS’ first rehearsal
The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was Slovenia’s LPS. LPS will sing the song “Disko” at Eurovision 2022 after they won EMA earlier in the year.
Following LPS’ first rehearsal a clip of their rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed the group before and after they took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well their first rehearsal went.

What did we learn about LPS’ staging?
LPS go on stage dressed in classy tailored outfits that could come straight from the 60s. The band is joined on stage by an absolutely massive disco ball, as you would expect from a song called “Disko.” LPS performs the song with a similar effortless and cool energy as during the Slovenian National Final and at the Eurovision pre-parties. Truly bringing disco to the Eurovision stage and onto your tv!

About LPS
LPS (short for Last Pizza Slice) are a Slovenian teenage pop band. Their five members are Filip (vocal), Gaลกper (drums), Mark (electric guitar), Zala (bass guitar, saxophone), and ลฝiga (electric keyboard). They formed in 2018 in the music room of their school. LPS plays music in a variety of genres, from disco to soul, rock, and more. They won the right to represent Slovenia in Eurovision 2022 by winning EMA, having gone through all the other rounds of EMA and EMA Freลก to get all the way to Turin.
Sloveniaโs Eurovision Journey
In 1993, Slovenia made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest with 1X Band and the song โTih deลพeven danโ, which placed 22nd. Since their debut, they have participated 26 times (15 of which where they qualified for the Grand Final).
Sloveniaโs recent Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Ana Sokliฤ, who represented them with the song โAmenโ, which placed 13th in the first semi-final receiving 44 points from the jury and televoters.
