Less than a week after closing the submissions for its Junior Eurovision 2022 selection, UA:PBC has announced the five finalists that will be competing to represent Ukraine at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan. The live final will take place on September 18.
Five young artists vying to be Ukraine’s representative for Yerevan
UA:PBC has confirmed that it has received more than 100 applications on its search, with the following five artists still in the run to represent Ukraine:

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2022 representative will be selected on the 18th of September and will air on UA:Kultura, on Eurovision Ukraine’s YouTube channel, and on Eurovision Ukraine’s Facebook page. Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2022 representative will be selected by the audience and the jury (which was selected by the public.)
Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision journey
In 2006, Ukraine made its debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 15 times and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо).
In 2021, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Olena Usenko won the right to represent the nation with “Vazhil”, which managed to place 6th receiving 125 points from the jury and online vote.
