🇺🇦 Online voting for Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2022 National Selection to open on September 16

Ahead of Ukraine’s National Final for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, UA:PBC has confirmed that the online voting for the selection will open on September 16.

An online vote to be done in two stages

The first stage of the online voting will commence at 00:00EET on September 16, and will last until 15:00EET on September 18. The second stage of the online voting will then open after the finalists have performed and will only be open for 15 minutes. You will be able to cast your votes on https://junior.eurovision.ua 

Details of the online vote are as follows:

  • To participate in both stages of the online voting users must sign in with their Google and/orFacebook accounts, as was the case with voting for the jury of the National Selection for Junior Eurovision.  
  • It is possible to vote once from one Google and/or Facebook account at each stage of the voting. 
  • At the second stage it is possible to vote once again for the same participant or change one’s choice and select a different finalist. The full Voting Rules can be found here.
  • In case of difficulties with the voting, trying another browser is recommended. 

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2022 selection

Ukraine will select its Junior Eurovision 2022 on September 18, with the following five artists competing to be the country’s next Junior Eurovision representative. You are now able to listen to the entries below:

The National Selection will air on UA:Kultura at 18:00EET, on Eurovision Ukraine’s YouTube channel, and on Eurovision Ukraine’s Facebook page. Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision 2022 representative will be selected by the audience and the jury (which was selected by the public.) consisting of Krystyna Solovii, Myroslava Salii and Anzhelika Rudnytska, with the selection being hosted by Timur Miroshnychenko.

Ukraine’s Junior Eurovision Journey

In 2006, Ukraine made their debut to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Nazar Slyusarchuk and the song “Khlopchyk Rock ‘n’ Roll” (Хлопчик рок ‘н’ ролл), which placed 9th. Since their debut, the Eastern European nation has participated 15 times, and even won once in 2012 with Anastasiya Petryk and her song “Nebo” (Небо). In 2021, Ukraine selected its representative through a national final, where Olena Usenko won the right to represent the nation with “Vazhil”, which managed to place 6th receiving 125 points from the jury and online vote.
