After her success in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, Cornelia Jakobs has embarked on a tour around Sweden and Europe, and now she starts a new musical chapter as she releases her new single “Rise” the anticipated follow-up to her Eurovision entry “Hold Me Closer”.
Cornelia co-wrote her latest single with Isa Molin and David Zandén, the same people she worked with on her Eurovision entry “Hold Me Closer”. Upon the release of the track, Cornelia further explained what her new single is about:
Rise describes the moment when you sense the first glimpse of light after a long time being lost in the dark. It is amazing when that first streak hits you, because in the dark even a small shed of light can have a blinding effect, and suddenly everything feels so much easier.
After premiering the song at Rockbjörnen where she won “Song of the Year” and “Breakthrough of the Year”, Cornelia has performed the song in her concerts, including the last stop of her tour in London, where she performed the song in a sold-out crowd in Colours Hoxton.
