Auditions for Una Voce per San Marino 2023 are underway. The jury that is overseeing these auditions has been revealed by RTV San Marino. Despite auditions commencing, submissions are still open, and will close on January 20th 2023.
Jury for Una Voce per San Marino auditions
Casting calls have begun for next year’s national final, Jury members for the Una Voce per San Marino auditions include:
- Andrea Mei – Producer and Musician
- Domenico Gallotti – Music Publisher
- Domenico Paganelli – Producer and Music Consultant
- Emilio Munda – Producer, Composer and Lyricist
- Maurizio Raimo – Manager and Record Producer
- Roberto Costa – Bassist, Sound Engineer and Producer
At the time of writing, there have been up to 402 submissions for Una Voce per San Marino; however, they are still open. Interested artists must pay a fee to take part. The costs are €100 for international artists, and €50 for Sammarinese residents. It has been previously revealed that Eurovision 2011, 2020, and 2021 representative Senhit will host next year’s national final. She will host alongside Jonathan Kashanian. San Marino’s 2022 Eurovision representative Achile Lauro will also perform during the national final.
San Marino’s Eurovision journey
As one of the smallest countries in Europe, San Marino made its debut in the competition in 2008 with Miodio and the song “Complice”. Since then they have participated in the competition 12 times (3 of which where they qualified for the Grand Final), and their best result was in 2019, with Serhat and “Say Na Na Na”.
Their recent participation saw them being represented by Italian superstar Achille Lauro, with the song “Stripper”. On May 12th, Achille performed in the second semi-final, but unfortunately didn’t qualify for the Grand Final. Overall, San Marino placed 14th in the semi-final, receiving 50 points from the Jury and Televoters.
