First up to complete their second rehearsal was The Netherlands’ Luna!

What happens during Luna’s performance?

The performance starts off with Luna wearing a pink suit on top of a picnic table, with a bright pink and blue backrgound with “LA FESTA” all in CAPS on the LED screen. As the song progresses, Luna is joined by her backing dancers as she gets off the table where she and her dancers approach the front of the stage.

When we get to the chorus we see the performers towards the front of the stage doing the choreography, whilst Luna is singing. For the second chorus, we see the choreography being done, with some pyro being used.

In the final chorus, we see pyro being used for the performance as Luna and her dancers continue on with the choreography until the performance finishes.

About Luna

12-year-old Luna from the Netherlands started dancing when she was three years old, and dances jazz, ballet, modern dance, and hip-hop. She first started singing at the age of seven and has appeared on The Voice Kids as well as smaller regional song contests. The Italian lyrics in her song “La Festa” are inspired by her family, as her grandparents are Italian. Her most unique hobby is ventriloquism. She is excited to meet the other contestants in person and film TikToks with them.

The Netherlands’ Junior Eurovision Journey

The Netherlands has participated in every edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since its inception, first taking part in 2003. The country’s first entry came in the form of Roel, singing “Mijn ogen zeggen alles”. At the close of voting, the Netherlands finished in 11th place, earning 23 points. Since then, the Netherlands have taken part another 18 times, earning one victory in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach singing “Click-Clack”.

In 2021, the Netherlands were represented by Ayana with her song “Mata Sugu Ao Ne” in Paris. Once the combined scores were revealed, the Netherlands finished 19th in a field of 19, with a score of 43 points.
