Last weekend, Lithuania’s selection Pabandom iš Naujo saw it’s heats come to a conclusion . Twenty acts have made it through to the semi-finals The acts competing in the first semi-final of the Lithuanian selection have now be been confirmed, following the filming of thefirst semi-final performances. The winner of Pabandom iš Naujo will represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool.

Pabandom iš Naujo 2023

This year there will be two heats taking place on January 21st and 28th, followed by two semi-finals which will take place on February 4th and February 11th. The final of Pabandom iš Naujo will take place on February 18th. All shows will be decided by 50% jury voting and 50% televoting. This year’s shows will be hosted by Giedrius Masalskis, Augustė Nombeko and Richardas Jonaitis.

Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey

The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 21 times and made the Grand Final 14 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th.

Lithuania’s latest Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Monika Liu, participating with the song “Sentimentai”. Qualifying for the final, Lithuania finished on 14th place overall, with 128 points.
