During their interview, Euan and Mario talked about what made Mario submit an entry to participate in this year’s selection, what we can expect from their perfromance tomorrow, and who he would like to collaborate with music-wise in the future.

About Mario Junes

A relative newcomer to the industry Mario began his musical career with covers of softer piano numbers, before transitioning into his current R&B style. He currently has three releases in addition to his potential Eurovision entry; Shallow Waters (in collaboration with Gina Shee), Can We Not, and Spalvos. Mario was the fifth qualifier from his semi final, and is set to open the final this Saturday with his entry “Do What You Do”.

Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey

The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 21 times and made the Grand Final 14 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th. Lithuania’s latest Eurovision participation, saw them being represented by Monika Liu, participated with the song “Sentimentai”. Qualifying for the final, Lithuania finished in 14th place overall, with 128 points.
