Today rehearsals for Junior Eurovision 2023 kicked off in Nice. Countries rehearsing on Day 1 include Ukraine, North Macedonia, Germany, Estonia, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Malta, Portugal, Georgia and Armenia. The fourth country to rehearse today is Estonia’s ARHANNA
What did we learn about ARHANNAs staging?
Disclaimer: Please note that the EBU has not released footage from the first rehearsals, and that the description detailed in this article is mainly based from the pictures and if available footage from the delegations themselves.
ARHANNA takes the stage alone, dressed in a long black outfit with white details and red ribbons. The background is dramatic, with bold dark colours and large patterns, including a stained glass window effect which frames her on a platform
If you are interested in seeing more pictures from ARHANNA’s first rehearsal today, you can look through them right here.
Who is ARHANNA?
Arhanna, full name Arhanna Sandra Arbma, grew up in the small town of Räpina and studies at the Räpina Music School. She doesn’t just sing–she also plays piano and composes. Arhanna also enjoys drawing and crafting, making videos, and collecting panda memorabilia.
When ERR announced Estonia’s Junior Eurovision debut, Arhanna was also revealed as their chosen singer. She was given the opportunity after winning the talent show Tähtede Lava, or “Star Stage”. Arhanna participated in writing her song “Hoiame Kokku” (“Stick Together”) alongside Eesti Laul and Eurovision songwriting veterans Leelo Tungal and Karl-Ander Reismann. She has also performed alongside Estonia’s 2023 Eurovision representative Alika Mihhailova.
