What did some of our team members have to say about their favourite songs from the Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix 2024?

Tim (Woman Show): You have no idea how obsessed I am with this. This is how you should open the show, very upbeat and there will be a lot of dance. I know not everyone will agree with the style, but I think when this is on stage this will be memorable and the audience will love it.

Rory (Oblivion) : Upon hearing some of the acts, I was skeptical of the hype for Margaret Berger due to her previous experience. However, when I listened to “Oblivion”, I was genuinely surprised and pleasantly so, because it is the riskiest of the songs in the semi! The timbre of Margaret’s voice perfectly complements the electropop soundscape of the song. She knows her wheelhouse and is sticking to it!

Jazzi (We Come Alive): Gothminister feels like Eurovision classic rock! It is friendly enough to the ears to be enjoyable, yet still has an edge to it. I am really excited to see how this is staged and how everyone will be styled come the semi-final. I feel this is a song that should really stand out in the semi and I hope it gets to the final. S

Norway’s Eurovision Journey
