Megara represented San Marino at Eurovision 2024 with "11:11".

San Marino RTV have opened the submissions window for Una Voce Per San Marino 2025. UVPSM is the microstate’s national final for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.

Una Voce submissions open until end of year

In the announcement that the submission window is now open, it was also confirmed that the window would close by the 31st of December. Further rules and regulations which were yet to be confirmed when the news that UVPSM would continue as San Marino’s national final was announced, have now also been publicized. The rules and process for this upcoming contest are largely the same, although there are a few big changes. Largest and foremost among them is that the Big Artist, category is scrapped. All acts will now have to participate in the semi-finals. Registration fees range from €50 for citizens of San Marino to €150 for those who sign up in the last few weeks of the submission window for Una Voce. Those who qualify for the semis will have to pay an additional €150.

Although the registration window closes at the end of the year, the selection process will start in September already. From September onward, Academy & Casting rounds will be held to start selecting acts and songs for Una Voce proper. These rounds will come to an end on January 26th, 2025. Online participation in these rounds will once again be possible. 2 artists per semi-final, plus another 2 acts from the second chance round will qualify to the final. One Sammarinese artist from the exclusive San Marino semi-final will also qualify. On February 22nd, the Teatro Nuovo Dogana will once again host the Grand Final of Una Voce. 5 jury members will decide who of these 11 finalists will win and go to the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland.

San Marino’s Eurovision History

As one of the smallest countries in Europe, San Marino made its debut in the competition in 2008 with Miodio and the song “Complice”. Since then they have participated in the competition 14 times, qualifying for the grand final in three. Their best result was in 2019, with Serhat and “Say Na Na Na”.

Spanish band Megara represented San Marino in 2024 with the song “11:11”. They failed to qualify from the second semifinal, placing fourteenth and receiving sixteen points from the televote.
