The Winners
Secret Garden – “Fionnuala’s Violin”
We’re kicking things off here with a beautiful and emotional instrumental piece. 1995 winning duo Secret Garden are working towards releasing their 12th studio album “Songs in the Circle of Time”, and one of the tracks on that LP will be this one. The song was originally composed by Rolf Løvland to inspire Fionnuala to pick up the violin again following her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in 2018.
Duncan Laurence, Tanishk Bagchi & Ganesh Waghela (Tangan Tribe) – “Feel Your Love (Rapture)”
“Rapture” was a 2001 megahit by American duo iiO. Now Indian music producers Tanishk Bagchi and Ganesh Waghela (who also work as a duo under the name Tangan Tribe) made a new version of the song together with Dutch Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence. Tanishk is a well-known name in Bollywood and beyond, having made songs for films and as an artist for many years now. This new cover of “Rapture” updates the sound of the track to the present day, giving it a new lease of life for the clubs.
KALUSH x Ann in Black – “Червона нитка”
Another month, another KALUSHcollab. “Червона нитка” (Red thread) sees Ann in Black sound both forceful yet strangely ethereal on this song about always being there and ready to support your loved ones when they need it most.
Lordi – “Made of Metal”
Our metal winners are back, this time celebrating the actual material. This stand-alone single is “inspired by” the new OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone which, you guessed it, has an all-metal body.
