The team for Eurovision 2025 grows even larger as the city of Basel announces that Beat Läuchli will take up the role of events manager for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Events of Eurovision 2025
Läuchli, who has experience in managing events in his home city such as the Flâneur Festival Basel, and European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, will be responsible for events outwith the contest itself, and has taken up the role immediately. In addition to the live shows, events related to Eurovision are typically held throughout the host city. Basel has committed to the typical Eurovision village, Euroclub, and Turquoise carpet; but additionally announced as part of its bid that it will be doing a live concert and screening of the show in the St. Jakobs Halle. This will allow people unable to get tickets to the live shows to still enjoy the atmosphere. A similar event was held in Stockholm during Eurovision 2016.
