Greek broadcaster ERT has opened submissions to find the entry Greece for Eurovision 2025.
Greece in Eurovision 2025 so far…
ERT confirmed that it will participate at Eurovision 2025 in September. Soon after, the broadcaster announced that it will hold a national final in 2025, for the first time in 22 years. ERT opened submissions for the national final on the 18th of October. It will remain open until Sunday the 10th of November at midnight EET. Participants and songs, alongside further details of the national final, will be revealed at a later date.
Greece’s Eurovision History
In 1974, Greece made its debut to the Eurovision Song Contest with “Krasi, thalassa ke t’agori mou” which placed 11th. Since then they have participated on 44 occasions (41 of which made the Grand Final), and have won once, in 2005.
Greece’s most recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Marina Satti with the song “Zari”. Following her performance, Greece qualified for the Grand Final, finishing in 11th place in the Grand Final in Malmö. She earned a total of 126 points, of which 41 were from the national juries and 85 were from the televoters.
