During the interview, Rory and Stereo Terror chatted about their decision to compete in Eesti Laul, despite being from Finland. They also showed their love for previous Eurovision entries from Finland and Estonia, and also gave fans a taste of what to expect from their live performance on Saturday (February 15th).

Who are Stereo Terror?

Stereo Terror is a Finnish duo made up of Henry Uhlgren (Henryfied) and Saku Solin (Shag-U). The band were formed in 2016 in the town of Hyvinkää, where they started out as DJs, before writing their own music. The band released their first song in 2022 and soon amassed a cult following thanks to their energetic and bombastic live show performances.

Their Eesti Laul track, “Prty Til the End of the World” was written by Lauri Hämäläinen and Heigo Anto.

Speaking about the song, Stereo Terror said:

“We like a good party. As you can see from our appearance, we love metal music, but metal concerts are usually very one-sided and there is no dancing. Since we like to dance, we decided to take the plunge and combine metal and disco. People love it.

Estonia’s Eurovision Journey

Estonia has appeared at almost every Eurovision since their debut in 1994. They have won the contest once with Tanel Padar, Dave Benton and 2XL in 2001, singing Everybody. Other notable Estonian entrants include 3rd placer Sahlene with Runaway in 2002 and Ines with Once In A Lifetime in 2000, who placed 4th. More recently, their highest-placing entries have been Urban Symphony with Rändajad in 2009 and Ott Lepland with Kuula in 2012, both of which finished in 6th place.

In 2024, Estonia elected to send 5MIINUST and Puuluup through Eesti Laul to the Contest with “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi”. They successfully qualified for the final and finshed in 20th place with 37 points. The group finished with 4 points from the juries, and an additional 33 points from the televote.
