What did some of our team members have to say about their favourite songs from Wielki finał polskich kwalifikacji 2025?
Kittens (Gaja): Gaja, despite all the chatter online about it, is high drama in song form. And if there’s one thing eurofans love, it’s a Mother bringing epic vibes. Add to that a seasoned performer, and with staging to match it, I don’t see any reason that this won’t go off hard.
Rory (Lusterka): Lusterka is one of the freshest electronica songs we have had in Eurovision in a long time. Something as dark and mysterious as this would easily stand out on a Eurovision stage; almost like a Polish revival of Shuma from Belarus’ national final in 2018. The use of minority regional languages in this really adds an extra flavour to this that is just absolutely to die for, as well. There’s so much that would put this is in contention for a good placing; Polish public, you know what to do!
Daniel (Chrust): Tempo is the latest in a series of folk inspired songs in this year’s national final season that I’m a big fan of. It draws you in from the first second and keeps you there for the entire duration of the song. CHRUST have an excellent identity and I really like how they bring newer sounds into their more traditional music
Poland’s Eurovision Journey
In 1994, Poland made their debut at the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Edyta Górniak with the song “To nie ja!” and placed 2nd, Poland’s best result at the contest to date. Since then, Poland has participated 26 times, qualifying for the Grand Final 16 times.
Poland selected Luna and “The Tower” to represent them at Eurovision 2024. She received 35 points in the televote, placing twelfth in the first semifinal.
