Czechia’s Eurovision 2025 representative ADONXS has confirmed his Eurovision song “Kiss Kiss Goodbye” will be released on March 7th.
ADONXS to premiere “Kiss Kiss Goodbye”
“Kiss Kiss Goodbye” premiered earlier this month during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC). However, it was prefaced with the confirmation that the official release would not happen until March.
Now, it has been confirmed that ADONXS’ track will be released on March 7th. The songwriters are still yet to be revealed.
ADONXS himself confirmed the news in a reply to a comment on his Tiktok account where he uploaded his MESC performance. In the comment, a fan asked when the song will be fully released, to which he replied:
The full version will be available on streaming platforms first on the 7th of March. The acoustic version will be the official acoustic version for ESC in the coming months. This version from Malta remains only on Youtube.
Czechia held song submissions in September of 2024. After several rounds of deliberation by an international jury, music professionals, and a focus group, “Kiss Kiss Goodbye” was announced as the title at the end of January; ADONXS’ participation was confirmed in December.
Who is ADONXS?
Real name Adam Pavlovčin, ADONXS is a singer, actor, and model. He was born in Slovakia and was formerly the frontman of London-based band Pace; he released his first solo album in 2022, after winning Czech-Slovak talent show SuperStar in 2021. He is known for his gender-bending style and basso profondo voice.
Czechia’s Eurovision journey
Czechia made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, with Kabát’s “Malá dama”; however, their debut entry finished last in a 28-song semi-final, scoring only 1 point. This kicked off three consecutive non-qualifications, with their best result coming in 2008, finishing in second-last place. Having withdrawn in 2009 due to poor results, Czechia returned to the Contest in 2015. In 2016, Czechia qualified for the first time with Gabriela Gunciková’s “I Stand”.
Czechia opted for a national selection in 2024, ultimately choosing Aiko with the song “Pedestal”. “Pedestal” scored 38 points in the second semifinal, placing eleventh and just missing out on the Grand Final.
