With Eurovision 2025 just weeks away, Ukraine’s Eurovision act Ziferblat have released the revamped version of “Bird of Pray”.
Revamped version features tweaks to instrumentation
The revamped version of the song was released on the official Eurovision Youtube channel. The band described the changes as a “cosmetic overhaul”, fine-tuning the instrumentation to pack a bigger punch. Despite recording a music video for the song, the official track is played over the band’s national final performance.
Explaining the motives behind the revamp, Ziferblat said:
We deliberately sought out someone with experience in creating songs specifically for Eurovision. This ‘cosmetic overhaul’ allowed us to integrate elements that we hope will resonate with the Eurovision fan community. We added orchestral parts in the choruses, giving ‘Bird of Pray’ an epic feel, and introduced pauses at the beginning of the track to create intrigue without revealing the full essence of the composition in the first few seconds.
Ziferblat will be competing in the first half of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2025. The official running order is yet to be released.

In 2024 alyona alyona and Jerry Heil represented Ukraine in Malmö with their song “Teresa and Maria”. The duo finished in 3rd place, scoring 453 points – of which 146 points came from the jury, whilst the remaining 307 points came from the televote.
