Before taking to the stage at Amsterdam’s Eurovision in Concert, Angus spoke with Katarsis for an interview. Katarsis is representing Lithuania at Eurovision 2025 with their entry “Tavo Akys”

During their interview, Angus and Katarsis talked about the usual creative process when they write a song, the impact of the Lithuanian language in the contest, as well as recommendations of artists that fans should listen to.
Who are Katarsis?
The four piece Lithuanian band is made up of frontman Lukas Radzevičius, drummer Jokūbas Andriulis, guitarist Alanas Brasas, and bassist Emilija Kandratavičiūtė. The group have been producing alternate rock for five years; with their debut single, ‘Niekas’, being released in 2020. Prior to them winning the right to represent Lithuania at Eurovision, Katarsis released on album; ‘Dausos’, in 2024.
Their entry, ‘Tavo Akys’, was written by the band’s singer Lukas Radzevičius, and produced by Jurgis Masilionis. It is set to perform 8th in the second semi final.
Lithuania’s Eurovision Journey
The Baltic nation made its debut at the Eurovision Song contest in 1994, where Ovidijus Vyšniauskas represented them with the song “Lopšinė mylimai”, which placed 25th. Since then, Lithuania has participated 22 times and made the Grand Final 15 times. LT United gave Lithuania their best ever Eurovision result back in 2006, where the country placed 6th.
In 2024, Silvester Belt represented Lithuania, participating with the song “Luktelk”. Performing in the first semi-final, Silvester qualified for the final in fourth place. In the Grand Final, Lithuania finished in 14th place overall, with 90 points – 32 points came from the juries, with another 58 points from the televote.
