Lottie O’Driscoll Murray will sing the “Rúin (Secrets)” at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi. The song has been confirmed to be a ballad. More information will be released at a future date.
How Lottie O’Driscoll Murray won
The final of Junior Eurovision Éire 2025, the Irish national selection, aired on October 19, hosted by Louise Cantillon. The winner was chosen by a jury made up of two judges, broadcaster Niamh Ní Chrónín and broadcaster Hugh Carr, along with guest judge Linda Martin (Ireland’s Eurovision winner in 1992).
The format was the following:
- Three finalists competed: Brooke Stanton, Lottie O’Driscoll Murray and Isla McManus.
- In Round 1, each finalist performed two songs, one from their past shows and one cover of a previous Eurovision entry. The jury picked two artists for the super-final.
- In the super-final, the two remaining artists ( Lottie O’Driscoll and Isla McManus) each performed another song previously performed. Lottie emerged as the winner.
Ireland’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Ireland first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Débuting alongside Australia, Ireland was represented by Aimee Banks singing ” Réalta na Mara”. At the close of voting, Ireland finished in 12th place – receiving 36 points. Ireland has since participated in a further eight times. Their best placement came in 2022, when Sophie Lennon finished in fourth place with her song “Solas”.
In 2024, Enya Cox Dempsey sang “Le chéile” for Ireland. She placed fifteenth in a field of seventeen, receiving 15 points from the jury and 40 from the online vote.
