Azerbaijan's Junior Eurovision 2025 entry "Miau Miau" released

Azerbaijan’s Junior Eurovision entry for 2025 has arrived! Yağmur will perform “Miau Miau”, released today alongside its official music video on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.

A fun and upbeat entry from Baku

“Miau Miau”, inspired by Yağmur’s love for animals (and cats in particular), is a light-hearted and catchy pop track. The 12-year-old performer brings plenty of energy and personality to the song, marking Azerbaijan’s return to Junior Eurovision after a four-year break.

Yağmur was chosen by İctimai Television (İTV) from over 60 submissions, following in-person auditions with 15 shortlisted finalists. She has been performing since she was eight and cites Michael Jackson, Aygun Kazimova, and Jennie from BLACKPINK among her inspirations.

Azerbaijan’s Junior Eurovision journey

Azerbaijan joined the Junior Eurovision family in 2012, with Omar and Suada singing “Girls and Boys (Dünya Sənindir)” in Amsterdam. At the close of voting, Azerbaijan finished 11th in a field of 12, earning 49 points. Azerbaijan has since participated three more times in 2013, 2018 and 2021 respectively.

The country’s most recent participation came in 2021, when Sona Azizova performed her song “One of Those Days” at La Seine Musicale in Paris. Sona gave Azerbaijan its best placing in its history of participating in the Contest. When voting had finished, Azerbaijan finished in 5th place with 151 points. Of these points, 109 came from professional juries, whilst 42 points were attributed from the online public vote.
