In a press release sent today by RAI, the broadcaster has announced that Italy’s Junior Eurovision 2025 entry, “Rockstar”, performed by Leonardo Giovannangeli, will be released on Monday 3 November at 12:00 p.m. CET. The song will premiere simultaneously on the official JESC channels and on RaiPlay, accompanied by its official music video.
A dynamic song about self-expression
According to a press release from RAI, “Rockstar”, released under Universal Music Italia, highlights Leonardo’s vibrant style and celebrates the power of dreams and the confidence that comes with embracing one’s identity.
The performance will feature:
- Creative direction: Claudio Santucci (Studio Giò Forma)
- Camera direction: Cristian Biondani
- Choreography: Erika Rombaldoni
- Lighting design: Blearred
- Visual graphics: Roof Video Design

Italy’s Junior Eurovision journey
Italy made its Junior Eurovision debut in 2014 with Vincenzo Cantiello and the song “Tu primo grande amore”. The performance scored 159 points on its way to a victory. Since winning, Italy’s best result is a 3rd place in the 2016 contest. Italy has so far participated eight times.
Italy most recently participated in 2024. Simone Grande and his song “Pigiama Party” reached ninth place after receiving 52 points from the jury and 46 from the online vote.
