FM4 presenter Emily Busvine will be hosting the Green Room during all three live shows in Vienna.
A key role inside the Eurovision
Austria’s broadcaster ORF has revealed that Emily Busvine will serve as the Green Room host for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, joining the on-screen team for this year’s contest.
Emily will be at the heart of the action during the live shows, appearing in the Green Room across both semi-finals and the Grand Final. The Green Room, styled this year as a Viennese coffee house, will serve as a central hub where artists gather after their performances, offering viewers real-time reactions and behind-the-scenes moments. Her role will include interacting with artists, guiding conversations, and capturing the tension and excitement as results unfold.
She commented:
“It feels like it was just yesterday that we announced and interviewed Victoria and Michael (this year’s main hosts) on the Morning Show, so getting that call was a surprise, to say the least. I’m trying not to think about it too much, honestly. It’s one thing to stand in a radio studio with a microphone and to know, in an abstract sense, that people are listening to you, but to be on live TV is a wholly different endeavor. I just want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and has a good time.”
All About Eurovision 2026
The journey to the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest kicked off immediately following JJ’s win in Basel, when Austria’s ORF accepted the rights to host the 70th edition of the contest. The bidding process started in June, with interested cities having until July 4 to submit their bid book. Innsbruck and Vienna were shortlisted, with the latter winning the right to host next year’s contest. 35 countries will take part in the competition, the lowest number of competing entries since 2004.
As for the organisation of the competition, the ‘core team‘ was revealed in June 2025, with further details about next year’s competition to be revealed in due course. The shows will take place on May 12th, 14th and 16th.
