A few months on since they made their debut in the Melodifestivalen stage, A*Teens have released their new single “You Got The Look”, which is the group’s first release since “Iconic”
A modern interpretation of Roxette’s hit
A*Teens’ latest release is the group’s modern interpretation of Roxette’s hit “The Look”, which was a number one hit in numerous countries (including the US and UK). Upon the release of their song the group mentions being proud to be releasing the song:
We feel incredibly proud to be releasing “You Got The Look”. We really think that together with the producers we have managed to make this song ours. It honestly feels completely unreal that we have been able to open Roxette’s treasure chest. “The Look” is one of the best Swedish pop songs ever made! To be able to pay tribute to the Swedish music wonder in this way is very honorable
Per Gessle, who is part of the duo, also commented on A*Teens’ interpretation of Roxette’s song:
Time passes and pop music, just like everything else, changes. I’m glad that A*Teens managed to make a modern and lively version of “The Look” 38 years after it was born. A bit magical!

A*Teens’ Melodifestivalen Journey
The group first appeared in Melodifestivalen in 2024 as the interval act during the competition in Malmö, the host city of that year’s Eurovision Song Contest. During their appearance, they performed a medley of their hits, “Upside Down”, “Floorfiller” and their covers of “Mamma Mia” and “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)”
In 2026, A*Teens made their competitive Melodifestivalen debut with “Iconic”, their first new release in more than 22 years. They secured a place in the final after earning the highest combined score from the public vote, which consists of age groups and telephone voting in the second round of voting during the first heat of Melodifestivalen 2026. In the final, they finished seventh, receiving a total of 67 points from the international juries and the public vote.
