About “Dance (‘Til I Die)”

Belgian Eurovision performer Red Sebastian is back with a new single. The musician, who represented his country in the 2025 Contest in Basel, has this week released “Dance (‘Til I Die)”. The track is an uptempo, pop-dance record with a catchy, sing-a-long chorus and thumping, high-energy beat.

The song is a feel-good anthem, full of positivity and a desire to turn adversity into joy from Red Sebastian. The lyrics of the chorus include the words:

No fade out
Just like thunder, shake the ground
So I’m gonna dance (Dance ‘till I die)
Yeah I’m gonna dance (Dance ‘till I die)
You might count me out
But you’ll see I’ll stay around
Cuz I’m gonna dance (Dance ‘till I die)
Yeah I’m gonna dance (Dance ‘till I die)

The new single was written by Red Sebastian himself, alongside Kato Callebaut & Willem Vanderstichele. The track is released independently on the Red Sebastian project, under exclusive license to CNR Records NV.

Who is Red Sebastian?

Red Sebastian is the stage name of Seppe Guido Yvonne Herreman, born in Belgium in 1999. His stage name is inspired by the crab from the animated movie The Little Mermaid, of which Sebastian is a huge fan of. In 2013, he made his first television appearance in the second season of Belgium’s Got Talent on the Flemish TV channel VTM. He made the final of the contest, after auditioning with Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man”. He studied singing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, where he was taught by fellow Belgian Eurovision alum Gustaph. In 2024, Seppe participated in the VTM talent TV show Sing Again, where he made it to the final.

Red Sebastian’s Eurovision journey

To select their entrant for the 2025 Song Contest in Basel, Belgian broadcaster VRT held the national final Eurosong 2025. Red Sebastian entered with the song “Strobe Lights”, a tribute to Belgian rave culture. The winner of the selection was chosen by a split of public and professional jury votes, with Red Sebastian earning the right to represent Belgium at Eurovision following his win.

Performing on his birthday in the first of the Semi-Finals in Basel, “Strobe Lights” failed to qualify for the Saturday Grand Final, placing 14th in the Semi.
