Tusse’s “Voices” has won Melodifetivalen 2021, and will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. It has been a long 6 weeks but we finally have the Swedish representative for Eurovision, after coming 1st with the international juries and the Swedish public. Tusse was among the big favourites to win tonight! You can take a listen to Sweden’s Voices below:
With the conclusion of Melodifestivlen 2021, that brings us to the end of National Final season! In a few days we will have all the competing entries for Eurovision 2021!
Our takes on Tusse’s Voices
As ever our team has it’s opinions on Sweden’s entry, you can read them below:
Jazzi – I am not surprised to see this win, it was the big favourite going into tonight’s show. Voices will do very well with jurors in Rotterdam! I am not sure about a 7th win but a top 10 result is very likely here. Tusse is a phenomenal vocalist and performer and he will really touch Europe’s hearts.
Rosie – What a story this guy has! Coming over to Sweden as a refugee, winning Swedish Idol and now winning Melfest. And what a voice he has too! It’s a song with universal appeal, but I worry it’s possibly a little too cliché on its Love Love Peace Peace message. I can see this doing well with the juries, but it might need a little more to connect with televoters.
Rory – This was one of the favourites for the night, and this is totally deserved. TUSSE has a fantastic voice, and the message of the song is epic, which will really help it stand out in the Contest. This is an obvious qualifier and I am totally expecting this to get a top 10 result!
