๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ Poland to select their 2021 Junior Eurovision representative on September 26

After hosting the Junior Eurovision Song Contest two years in a row, it was no surprise that Poland will indeed be participating in this year’s contest. With the Eurovision Song Contest out of the way, TVP can now focus their efforts on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. As for the past few years, Poland will select their representative through Szansa na Sukces (A Chance for Success), and the rules reveal that their representative will be selected on September 26.

What we currently know about the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

After winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020, it wasn’t long until it was revealed that the winning host nation; France, will be hosting the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In May 2021, it was revealed that Paris will be hosting this year’s competition in La Seine Musicale on December 19.

At the time of writing, the following countries have confirmed their participation in this year’s competition

  • France – Host Nation
  • Georgia
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • The Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • Ukraine

Poland’s Junior Eurovision Journey

In 2003, Poland was one of the countries that participated in the inaugural edition of the competition, where they were represented by Katarzyna ลปurawik with the song “Coล› mnie nosi” which placed 16th. Poland participated for another year, before going on a 12-year break and returning in 2016. Since returning to the competition, they have participated five times, and managing to achieve a back-to-back win in 2018 and 2019.

Their recent participation in 2020, saw them being represented by Ala Tracz, with the song “I’ll Be Standing” which placed 9th overall, receiving 90 points from the jury and online vote combined.
