Nu Kör Vi, the time has come. It’s the time we have all been waiting for. Today, SVT has announced 14 of the 28 participants competing in the upcoming edition of the competition. The remaining contenders, as well as the Semi-Final in which will be they competing in will be revealed at a later date.
Who’s in the line-up so far?

The line-up announcement consists of a mixture of new artists, as well as multiple returnees. Some artists such as Klara Hammarström participating in the competition for a third consecutive year. The line-up also sees the return to the competition of John Lundvik, who represented Sweden with “Too Late For Love” which placed 5th in Tel Aviv.
What we know about Melodifestivalen 2022
Melodifestivalen 2022 will be hosted by Oscar Zia, whilst Farah Abadi will follow the journey of the competing artists in the next edition of the competition. Tickets for next year’s competition will go on sale on November 8, with the shows taking place as follows:
- February 5 – Semi-Final 1 – Malmö, Malmö Arena
- February 12 – Semi-Final 2 – Gothenburg, Scandinavium
- February 19 – Semi-Final 3 – Linköping, Saab Arena
- February 26 – Semi-Final 4 – Lidköping, Sparbanken Lidköping Arena
- March 5- Semi-Final 5 – Örnsköldsvik, Hägglunds Arena
- March 12 – Final – Stockholm, Friends Arena
Sweden’s Eurovision Journey
In 1958, Sweden made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest, with Alice Babs representing them with the song “Lilla stjärna” which placed fourth. Since their debut, the Scandinavian nation has managed to win six times (1974, 1984, 1991, 1999, 2012, and 2015).
In 2021, Sweden was represented by Tusse, who won the 60th edition of the competition and competed with the song “Voices”, which managed to qualify for the Grand Final and placed 14th with 109 points from the jury and televoters.
