🇷🇸 TES Preview: “A Simple and Heartfelt performance” for Joavana & Dunja’s rehearsal

Today, the remaining ten participating countries of the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest are having their second rehearsal. These are Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Albania, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Serbia, Russia, and France.

In today’s rehearsal, the attending Press had the opportunity to watch the full rehearsals from these countries. Before we find out what happens in Serbia’s rehearsal, let’s see how their first rehearsal went.

What happens during Joavana & Dunja’s performance?

The performance starts off with both girls one by one making their way to a mirror frame, where once the chorus begins, they both do a choreography, to appear that they are twins. As the song progresses, they both stay in the middle of the stage, moving the mirror frame or doing choreography. What is interesting about Serbia’s performance is that it is done in one shot. No changes to camera angles whatsoever.

Serbia’s Junior Eurovision Journey

The Balkan nation competed until 2010, where it took a three-year break between 2011 and 2013. Since 2014, Serbia has continuously participated in the competition.

Serbia’s recent participation in the competition, saw them being represented by Petar Aničić and the song “Heartbeat” which placed 11th overall in the competition, where Serbia received 85 points from the jury and online voting.
