As countries continue to build up for their participation in Eurovision 2022, preparations are in full swing in the host city Turin. The city council has appealed to people to become volunteers during the timespan of Eurovision.
Long stints for Eurovision 2022 volunteers
On a website from the city of Turin, 600 opportunities for fans to volunteer were announced. Successful applicants would be able to work between April 1st to May 20th 2022 on a host of different activities. Some jobs that volunteers would work include:
- Providing information for tourists about the local area
- Accreditation and transport
- Welcoming and accommodating delegations
- Helping in areas such as the Press Room
To help with the constant flow of volunteers in the city, those wishing to help can work different periods ranging between 1 and 4 weeks.
Anyone wishing to volunteer during the Contest can do so by following this link. Those interested must register with a company named Giovani x Torino in order to receive insurance benefits during the period. Following this, those interested must then apply fill out the attached form and return it by February 14th.
Putting the best foot forward
Turin’s preparations for the Contest are in full swing, following the allocation of funds from the City Council. The first semi-final is now just over 100 days away and the city is in Eurovision-fever. Following the reveal of the Contest’s slogan and theme art, the city is now dotted with advertisements promoting Eurovision 2022. The city also hosted the semi-final allocation draw in the Palazzo Madama at the end of January, meaning Turin is officially the home of Eurovision in 2022.
