Michael Ben David’s first rehearsal
The next act to take to the Eurovision 2022 stage at the Pala Alpitour in Turin was Israel’s Michael Ben David. He will sing the song “I.M” at Eurovision 2022 after he was selected to represent Israel earlier this year.
Following Michael Ben David’s first rehearsal a clip of his rehearsal was posted on TikTok. The clip showed him before and after he took to the Eurovision stage for the first time. The clip also gave us some insight into how well his first rehearsal went.

Michael Ben David took to the stage in a striking white costume, alongside four dancers also wearing white. His vocals are sounding great and the dance routine is very polished – can we expect similar vibes to the music video and the live performance on The X Factor Israel?
What we thought about Israel´s first rehearsal
Following the release of the rehearsal clip, Jazzi gave her initial thoughts and reactions to the staging:
About Michael Ben David
Michael Ben David is an Israeli singer. He has Ukrainian and Georgian heritage. In 2020 Michael graduated from the same performing arts school as past Israeli Eurovision artists such as Harel Skaat. During his time on X Factor Israel, he was mentored by Netta – who won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2018 with her song toy.
Israel’s Eurovision Journey
Israel has a long and wealthy history in the Eurovision Song Contest, making their debut in 1973 with Ilanit and “Ey Sham”. Their first entry scored 97 points, placing 4th. Israel has since gone on to win the Contest on four separate occasions – in 1978, 1979, 1998 and 2018.
Eden Alene returned to represent Israel in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic meant that she was not able to perform in Rotterdam the previous year. Alene scored 93 points and finished in 17th place with her song “Set Me Free”.
