Since it was announced that the United Kingdom will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 the city of Liverpool had previously announced they will bid to host the contest. In the last few days it has been announced that Liverpool have now submitted their bid to host Eurovision 2023.

Liverpool submit Eurovision 2023 host city bid

Following on from their bid to be the Eurovision 2023 host city, Liverpool’s Assistant Mayor and Councilor Harry Doyle has said the following.

“We are excited to have submitted a bid for Liverpool to host Eurovision 2023. 

“Making a major event like this possible in such a short timeframe is complicated and is going to need some careful and creative planning, but we think Liverpool would be the perfect stage to celebrate this unique Eurovision. 

“We look forward to finding out if we have been successful in getting through to the next stage of the process.”
