With the pre-party season for Eurovision 2023 officially underway, more names are still being added to the upcoming line-ups. The organisers of Eurovision in Concert have now revealed that Käärijä, who will represent Finland at Eurovision this year with “Cha Cha Cha” will be part of the ever expanding list of performers attending the event in Amsterdam on April 15th.
In addition to Eurovision in Concert, Käärijä has also been confirmed for Pre-Party ES in Madrid on April 7-8 and for London Eurovision Party on April 16.
Eurovision in Concert 2023
About the Pre-Party: Known for being the biggest Eurovision Pre-Party, fans from all over the world travel to the Dutch capital of Amsterdam to see the acts perform live. The concert will take place on April 15, 2023, at AFAS Live, which has been the home of the concert since 2018. The show will be hosted by Cornald Maas and Hila Noorzai. An afterparty will take place directly following Eurovision in Concert at the AFAS Live Talent Stage.
Tickets: You are now able to purchase your tickets for Eurovision in Concert 2023 on TicketmasterNL. Afterparty tickets can be purchased at Amsterdam Calling on April 14, and on April 15 at the doors of AFAS Live right before the concert.
Acts: At the time of writing Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper (The Netherlands 2023), Gustaph (Belgium 2023), Joker Out (Slovenia 2023), Wild Youth (Ireland 2023), Voyager (Australia 2023), Monika Linkyte (Lithuania 2015, 2023), Teya and Salena (Austria 2023), La Zarra (France 2023), Blanca Paloma (Spain 2023), Blanka (Poland 2023), Alessandra (Norway 2023), Piqued Jacks (San Marino 2023), Alika (Estonia 2023), Lord of the Lost (Germany 2023), Remo Forrer (Switzerland 2023), Diljá (Iceland 2023), TuralTuran X (Azerbaijan 2023), Mae Muller (United Kingdom 2023), Pasha Parfeni (Moldova 2023), Sudden Lights (Latvia 2023), The Busker (Malta 2023), Theodor Andrei (Romania 2023), Vesna (Czechia 2023), and Käärijä (Finland 2023) have been announced to perform, whilst Katrina formerly of Katrina and The Waves (United Kingdom 1997) has been announced as a Special Guest.
Finland’s Eurovision Journey
Finland debuted in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing 10th with Laila Kunnunen’s “Valoa ikkunassa.” Since then they have competed 55 times, and appeared in the final 47 times. Finland has finished in the top 10 an impressive 13 times. They have won the contest once in 2006, with Lordi’s performance of “Hard Rock Hallelujah” getting 292 points. Finland’s most recent entry was “Jezebel” by The Rasmus. Qualifying for the final, they gained a total of 38 points, earning them 21st place.
