Icelandic broadcaster RÚV that they are in discussion regarding competing at Junior Eurovision 2024. However no official decision has been made either way on whether Iceland will participate.
RÚV’s statement regarding Iceland at Junior Eurovision 2024
When talking about participation at Junior Eurovision 2024, RÚV’s Rúnar Freyr Gíslason did not rule out the country taking part in 2024. However stressed a decision has not been made either way. Rúnar said the following to Eurofestivales about Iceland’s position on Junior Eurovision 2024
“RÚV has not decided to join the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but we are still considering it”

Iceland are one of the few countries that have never debuted at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, despite taking part in the main competition. The other past and present competing Eurovision countries to never debut also include Andorra, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czechia, Finland, Hungary, Luxembourg, Monaco, Morocco, Slovakia, and Turkey.
Junior Eurovision 2024
Following on from winning Junior Eurovision 2023, it has not yet been decided if winner France will host there 2024 edition. France won the 2023 edition with singer Zoe Clauzure. She sang the song Cœur. This marked Frances’s third win in the contest and their second in a row. Countries to confirm participation for Junior Eurovision 2024 include:

- 🇵🇱 Poland
