Today the rehearsals for Eurovision 2024 continue in Malmö. Countries rehearsing on Day 4 include Latvia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Norway and The Netherlands. The third to rehearse today is Georgia’s Nutsa Buzaladze.
Nutsa Buzaladze’s first rehearsal
The next to take to the Eurovision 2024 stage at Malmö Arena in Malmö was Georgia’s Nutsa Buzaladze. Nutsa will be competing in this year’s competition with her entry “Firefighter” following on from being internally selected by broadcaster GBP.
Following Nutsa Buzaladze’s first rehearsal a clip of what went on was posted on the official TikTok account of the Eurovision Song Contest. The clip showed her before and after she took to the Eurovision stage for the first time, as well as giving us some insight into how well her first rehearsal went.
Once the official Eurovision TikTok has been uploaded, you can watch it here.
What did we learn about Nutsa Buzaladze’s staging?

Nutsa is singing “Firefighter” at Eurovision 2024, and it shows on stage, according to the Eurovision liveblog. Georgia’s team have indeed the stage in reds to add to the sultry danger of the performance. Choreo is a main feature and Nutsa looks fantastic as she shows off in a golden satin outfit. She stands on a plinth for parts of the performance before making her way onto the main stage.
What we thought of Nutsa Buzaladze’s first rehearsal
After Georgia’s first rehearsal, Tim gave his initial thoughts on the snippet that we saw.
As soon as our reaction to the first rehearsal is up, you can watch it here.
Who is Nutsa Buzaladze
Eurovision is far from Nutsa’s first foray into competitions, she started her career in 2011 by appearing on Georgia’s Got Talent, and in 2014 won the New Wave Music Festival.
Under the mononym Nutsa, she participated in the 2023 season of American Idol, where she managed to place in the Top 12, and even had the chance to have a duet with Kylie Minogue on the show. She has also competed in The Voice of Turkey, and the Georgian editions of Your Face Sounds Familiar and Dancing with the Stars.
For the past few years, Nutsa has split her time between Los Angeles (where she works on her music) and Dubai (where she worked with Theater Dubai and performed at the 2020 Expo) but still calls Georgia home.
Georgia’s Eurovision Journey
Georgia’s history in Eurovision has been mixed since they began competing in 2007, represented by Sopho Khalvashi with “Visionary Dream”. Their highest placements – both coming in 9th – were achieved in 2010 and 2011, with Sopho Niharadze performing Shine and Eldrine with One More Day. They have not qualified for the final since 2016, where they were represented by Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz with Midnight Gold.
For 2023, former Junior Eurovision winner Iru represented Georgia with her song “Echo”. At the close of voting, however, Georgia failed to qualify for the final for the sixth year in a row. Iru finished in 12th place in the semi-final, earning 33 points from the televote.
