Fahree, who represented Azerbaijan at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest alongside Ilkin Dovlatov, has released his new single .“Dön Geriyə“. This time collaborating with singer Nurlana.

‘Dön Geriyə’

Dön Geriyə‘ continues the much more mellow turn we’ve seen with Fahree over this summer when compared to his Eurovision entry ‘Özünlə Apar‘. Together with Nurlana this number is typical from what you’ve expect from a late summer easy listening song, with a strong beat in the backing track. Though this doesn’t take away from Fahree or Nurlana’s much more soft and and almost whisper pop vocals. This song is much more fitting to what one would expect from Fahree’s musical repertoire when compared to his Eurovision entry.

Who is Fahree?

FAHREE, who is the stage name for singer Fakhri Ismayilov, is fairly new to the music industry. In 2022 FAHREE released his debut single “Dance”. While FAHREE has a masters and Bachelors in Law, the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic made him realise he wanted to focus on music. FAHREE has released two other singles outside his debut and Eurovision song, they are entitled “Apardı uzaqlara” and “Yollar”.

Azerbaijan internally selected Fahree and Ilkin Dolatov to represent them in 2024 with the song “Özünlə apar”; they scored eleven points in the first semifinal, placing fourteenth and missing out on the Grand Final for a second year in a row.
