Georgian broadcaster GPB has revealed further information about its Junior Eurovision 2024. It has been announced that its representative Andria Putkaradze will be participating in this year’s competition with the entry “To My Mom’
Entry to be released on October 13
GPB revealed the title of their entry earlier this week, with the entry set to be released tomorrow, October 13 at 16:00EDT. The broadcaster has revealed that Giga Kukhianidze who has worked on 13 of Georgia’s Junior Eurovision entries, worked alongside Maka Davitayaย for the entry.
A music video for “To My Mom” has been filmed, with the broadcaster announcing that an outfit for the music video was created by Iza Nadareishvili.
Georgia’s Junior Eurovision Journey
Georgia is the joint most successful country to take part in Junior Eurovision, currently with three wins under their belt. The country joined the Junior Eurovision family in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili sing “Odelia Ranuni”, finishing in 4th place. Georgia would go on to win the competition the following year, with Bzikebi’s “Bzz…”. Georgia would also win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and 2016 respectively. Georgia also hosted the Contest in Tbilisi in 2017.
In 2023, Georgia was represented by Anastasia and Ranina and their song “Over The Sky” in Nice. Once the combined scores were revealed, Georgia finished in 14th place – earning 74 points. The online vote gave Georgia 53 points, whilst professional juries awarded 21 points to the country.
